Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds looked every bit the Hollywood power couple during a playful date night in New York, laughing, posing for selfies and even sharing a piggyback ride.
But according to a new report, the smiles may not tell the whole story.
Sources claim the couple is still feeling the fallout from Blake’s legal battle with It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni, despite recent court developments.
“The last thing they want is for people to think the pressure is getting to them, but there is no denying it's been an incredibly difficult period,” an insider told Heat magazine.
“They can make all the happy social media posts and pose for all the happy selfies, but of course, this has taken a big toll; even the most solid marriage would feel the pressure under these circumstances.”
The source added that the pair are working hard to move forward after what Blake reportedly believed would be a career-defining film.
“Before all this happened with [Justin] Baldoni, Blake saw this movie as a major comeback opportunity... Instead, it turned into this epic fiasco that has damaged her reputation and spilt over onto Ryan as well.”
According to the insider, the couple is focused on rebuilding both personally and professionally.
“They are essentially back at the drawing board now... trying to show the world that they’re still standing and still united.”
Despite the reported challenges, the source insists Reynolds remains firmly by his wife’s side.
“They are still very committed to getting through this together.”
Neither Lively nor Reynolds has publicly commented on the latest claims, making the report unverified.
For now, fans are left seeing two very different pictures–one captured by paparazzi cameras, and another painted by anonymous insiders
