Rumours about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding are getting even bigger.

The new reports claimed that the couple may need security on the level of a presidential visit if the celebration takes place at Madison Square Garden.

Security experts say the reported two day event in New York could cost around $3 million and $5 million just for protection.

The money would reportedly pay for weeks of planning, extra private security staff, monitoring teams and close coordination with Madison Square Garden's security workers.

A former Secret Service agent said the operation would be similar to protecting a head of state because of the huge public interest surrounding the couple.

Reports, however, revealed that around 100 guests could attend a smaller gathering on Thursday, while up to 1,000 people may attend a larger celebration on Friday.

Police could also have a major role as former law enforcement officials believe that the New York Police Department may need to deploy far more officers than it would for a normal event, especially if thousands of fans gather outside the venue.

The timing, moreover, can make things even more complicated because the reported wedding dates fall during New York's busy Fourth of July weekend.

The city is already preparing for fireworks celebrations, large public events and a World Cup soccer match nearby.

At the same time, some insiders believe that the Madison Square Garden wedding reports can be a distraction, while others claim that the couple may have already married privately.

So far, neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce confirmed any wedding plans just yet.
