Prince George gets special relief at Eton before session begins

Prince William and Princess Catherine would be going through a bundle of nerves as they prepare to send off their 13-year-old son Prince George to boarding school in a couple of weeks.

The eldest Wales child, and the second in line to the British throne, is following in the footsteps of his father and uncle, William and Harry, as he chose Eton College for as his secondary school.

According to reports, preparations to welcome the heir, 31 years after his father first made his appearance, are already underway. New signs of ‘No photography’ have been erected before the session starts.

Apart from the preparations, George also has some special relief in the beginning of the year, which would help him not getting homesick too much. Eton’s new term date schedule revealed that the boys are allowed to have “short leave” breaks, which are scheduled in early October.

The “long leaves” are considered as the half-term, but other than that, George can quickly hop back to Forest Lodge is he is missing his family too much. The weekend would begin on Friday 2 - Sunday 4 October.

Other than that, the boys can have a ‘B weekend’ which permits them to leave on Saturday and “return by 6.15pm on Sunday”.

It is unclear if George would be keen on availing the option, but it is likely a relief to know that William and Kate will have the option of bringing their son home to spend some time together.
