James Wessex's position in royal family cemented with new decision

Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie are celebrating a special milestone of their 18-year-old son as the family received exciting news about his future role.

Earl James of Wessex, the youngest nephew of King Charles, had been awaiting his A-levels results like many other students who have taken their A-levels across the globe. While there had been speculation about James’s role in the royal family, it seems that the teen has chosen his path.

It was announced that James will be attending the Royal Agricultural University in Gloucestershire to study Rural Land & Property Management.

This aligns with the latest update that came from Sandringham estate, as James has taken up a job as a farmhand on the property.

An estate worker had shared that James has been driving tractors and has not been afraid to put in long hours in his job.

Royal sources have revealed that even though James is working on royal ground, he has no plans of taking up a working royal position in the family or use HRH.

“They just don’t want to be known simply as the King’s niece and nephew, and James doesn’t want things to change now he’s left school,” the source said.

Neither James not his older sister Lady Louis want to working royals or have titles as they “value their privacy and want to live ordinary lives”. Thus, cementing their role as non-working members having their own careers.

Despite the path James has chosen, the estate worker insisted that the monarch would be “proud” of James.
