Andrew named on US House floor in explosive Epstein sex crimes claim

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been publicly accused of committing sex crimes in the United States by a Republican congressman speaking on the floor of the US House of Representatives.

Representative Thomas Massie named the former Duke of York while calling for men who had associations with Jeffrey Epstein to face greater scrutiny.

During his address, Massie argued that those linked to the late convicted sex offender and financier should be investigated where there is evidence of wrongdoing.

“We want perpetrators of these crimes to be investigated and prosecuted,” Massie said, before naming several prominent figures who had connections to Epstein, including former Barclays chief executive Jes Staley and magician David Copperfield.

He then turned his attention to the former Duke, saying: “And Andrew, who committed sex crimes in the US.”

The remark comes as Andrew remains caught up in an ongoing investigation into alleged sex crimes, which began in May.

Andrew has previously denied wrongdoing and has not been charged with a crime in relation to the current investigation.
