Meghan Markle takes decisive step despite clash with Princess Kate

Meghan Markle is determined to make things work for their new life in UK even if it draws unwelcome comparisons to her sister-in-law Princess Catherine.

Though separated by a bitter rift, the Sussexes and the Waleses will be having mixed emotions on Thursday as children start their new sessions at school.

While Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will be having the first day at their unnamed British school, meanwhile, Prince George will be kicking off his Eton College chapter with his siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis starting new class in Lambrook.

“Very down-to-earth mummy figure” Princess Catherine is known for being very particular about making school runs for her children and Meghan had happily taken that role in Montecito. However, with looming security issue, there are fears for her safety and the children’s.

Although, this will not stop her from playing her role as a protective mother, sources cited by Woman’s Day revealed.

It’s going to be a “huge adjustment” for the kids, so Meghan “wants to be there every step of the way as they acclimate, she won’t be deferring to nannies”.

“That’s the way it was in Montecito, she was a very involved school mom and despite all the cruel rumours that she was disliked by the other mothers,” the source said.

“Meghan has accepted [the comparisons] and says she’s more than happy for people to see just how hands on she is with her kids. In some ways, it should be easier for her than Kate because she can do it as an ordinary person without having to juggle royal duties alongside it.”
