Maisie Williams opened up about a very difficult time in her life, saying the first half of her 20s was “just hell”.
The actress became famous at just 13 when she joined Game of Thrones as Arya Stark. But when the show ended in 2019, Maisie was unsure about what she wanted to do next.
She was also trying to understand parts of her childhood while dealing with the changes around her.
She told The Guardian, “The first half of my 20s was just hell, but I think maybe it is for a lot of people.”
Maisie said things started to feel much better after 2023 as she moved out of London, lived alone, spent more time with friends and got back to having her dog with her.
She said: “At that point, it was time to … Just choose myself.”
Since then, Maisie has focused on simple things that make her happy, including reading, writing, yoga, running, swimming, cycling and walking her dog.
Her love life is also going well. Maisie confirmed that she is dating someone and is “so happy”, but she has chosen to keep the person’s identity private.
When asked if she was in love, she simply said: “No! I’m in love. That’s all I’ll say.”
She also said there is “lots of laughter” in the relationship.
