Prince William, Kate decide on press call for George's first day at Eton

Prince William and Princess Catherine have taken a firm stance for Prince George’s first day at Eton College as curiosity builds around the big day.

When Prince William walked through the gates of Eton for the first time, over three decades ago, there was a massive press call on the day. Photographers were present to immortalise the moments and the same happened just two years later for Prince Harry.

Prince George, who is the second in line to the throne, will be joining his father and uncle’s alma mater on Tuesday, September 9.

However, things would be different for the young prince so that he is not overwhelmed, and other students are also not uncomfortable with the attention. According to royal reporter Natalie Oliveri, the family has decided to opt for one or two trusted people to capture the significant moment.

Meanwhile, a new report by The Telegraph indicated a potential press call or photo opportunity.

Kensington Palace is yet to confirm whether the formal press appearance has been greenlit. Otherwise, it would be like any other family milestone, where the Prince and Princess of Wales release photos and videos to mark the special day.
