King Charles statement sparks bold reaction from Harry, Meghan camp

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's loved ones have decided to react strongly after King Charles issued a statement clarifying their current royal status.

In the statement, the monarch said that the Sussexes are "no longer working members of the Royal Family." Also, the head of the royal family stated that "Their position is akin to private citizens," and "their styles as His and Her Royal Highness remain in abeyance and are not used."

This message has been seen as a big slap in the face by Harry and Meghan's camp.

Responding to the bombshell, a pal of the Duke and Duchess said the King's youngest son could "never be an entirely private citizen."

"Some people will say, ‘But they’re private citizens.’ Nonsense. Utter nonsense.

"They are two of the most high-profile people in the world. The idea that Harry, who is the King’s son and brother to the future King, could ever live an entirely private life is for the birds," the friend shared according to express.co.uk. 

It has also been claimed that King Charles has taken a bold step after Prince William's pressure to clarify the Sussexes' position following their UK return.
