Princess Kate, Prince George share emotional moment ahead of Eton journey

Prince George will officially be stepping into the next phase of his life, which will be shaping him for his destined role as the future monarch.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are understood to be going through a lot of emotions as their eldest son finally begins his new chapter at Eton College, the alma mater of Prince William and Prince Harry.

Princess Kate, the doting mother, is reportedly feeling the most ‘angst’ at the major milestone, not just knowing that her little boy is growing up, but also for other reasons, according to a royal expert.

She is “having a few tears at the thought of it”, per royal biographer Andrew Lownie. “Catherine is both sad and excited at the prospect of her son becoming a man.”

George, who turned 13 few weeks ago, is expected to have limited press call at his first day. However, William and Kate did not want to have fuss surrounding the school and overwhelm the other students as well.

Kensington Palace is yet to confirm the details, especially among speculation that a portrait would be released by the Wales team to mark the big day.

After the first day, the British press will follow Palace guidance to leave George alone whilst he’s at school and other pupils will be obliged to give their royal schoolmate privacy.
