Prince Harry, Meghan react to King Charles latest blow: 'Humiliation'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally spoke out after King Charles called them 'private citizens' in a bombshell statement.

Reacting to the monarch's latest blow, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's spokesperson said, "We were a little surprised not to have been told about this in advance."

It is understood that Harry and Meghan were kept in the dark, and the King sent a bold letter clarifying their royal status, which the Sussexes and their pals have seen as a slap in the face. 

For the unversed, on Monday, King Charles released a statement, reminding public that Harry and Meghan are still the "non-working members" of the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are "private citizens" and "their styles as His and Her Royal Highness remain in abeyance and are not used," the Palace said in a message.

However, Harry and Meghan's team expressed their concern over the 'surprising' move made by King Charles and the Palace.

Notably, the couple is reportedly still fighting for their right to security, as they have now moved back to the UK with their kids, Archie and Lilibet, for an extended period.

However, such a statement from the King put Harry and Meghan in a difficult spot, especially as their concerns about security arrangements have grown.
