King Charles crowns Duchess Sophie amid Harry, Meghan headlines

Buckingham Palace has honoured Duchess Sophie, the royal family's real jwel, for her unmatched service to the Firm as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle return to the spotlight.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, one of the hardest-working members of the royal family, received a meaningful nod from King Charles for her dedication to the monarchy and its people.

The royal family's official Instagram account shared a series of Sophies' latest images from her visit to Home Grown Here, a grower-owned co-operative and local food marketplace in Cumbria.

The 61-year-old Duchess enjoyed a day out at Seatoller Farm in Keswick. She dazzled in a tailored blazer, perfectly complemented by a swishy bob. Her subtle hair styling update elevated her entire look.

Sophie proved herself to be something of a bob-styling pro. She embraced the ‘rounded bob’, another simple trick for keeping the cut feeling fresh.

Prince Edward's wife ditched denim for a seasonal fabric, wearing  something a little bit cosier and more autumnal. She brought back her corduroy trousers.

With its traditional feel, her tweed jacket is such a stunning investment piece for her autumn wardrobe, elevating her beauty in a way she wanted. 

Sophie, who has been patron of the Addington Fund since 2021, also officially opened a program designed to help first-generation farmers secure tenancies and establish a foothold in the industry.

She also took part in packaging mixed salad leaves during her visit, which is consistent with Sophie’s longtime interest in British agriculture, and she counts many food and farming organisations among her royal patronages.
