Prince William to join Tusk Awards celebrating Africa's natural heritage

Prince William is set to have a major conservation moment in London this autumn, as the Tusk Conservation Awards return to honour the people working on the front lines of Africa’s wildlife protection.

The annual ceremony will take place on 11 November 2026 at Raffles London, The OWO in Whitehall, bringing together conservationists whose work often happens far from the public eye. 

Tusk Awards were established in 2013 in partnership with Ninety One and alongside William, who has long championed efforts to protect Africa’s wildlife and natural heritage. 

The event has become an important fixture in William’s conservation calendar. 

As Tusk’s Royal Patron, a role he has held since 2005, the Prince has maintained a close connection with the charity and its work across Africa. 

It also includes the Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa, recognising an individual for a lifetime of exceptional commitment to conservation.
