Princess Kate reveals struggles due to cancer in emotional encounter

Catherine, the Princess of Wales, has set an incredible example for cancer patients across the world by putting her 'struggles' on display, giving others the confidence to share their cancer stories.

The future Queen has recently made an appearance at The Royal Marsden Hospital, where she also received her treatment.

She went there to check up on the work being done after money raised through her inspiring Three Peaks Challenge.

Talking to cancer patient Sam Suriakumar, Princess Kate revealed her first thought after finding out her cancer diagnosis.

As per Hello! Magazine, she shared that her kids, George, Charlotte and Louis came to her mind first.

Speaking of her emotional encounter with Suriakumar, Kate said, "It was such a fantastic experience. She is such a humble human being. I felt we were able to connect because of our cancer journeys and because of our kids.

"We were speaking about how our kids had to go through that as well, and how they give us the inspiration to keep pushing forward. We had such a lovely chat. I was very, very nervous, but she makes you feel very welcome."

Moreover, Princess Kate was also quite truthful and open about the struggles she faced during her cancer treatment.

In conversation with another cancer patient, Mike Collett, Catherine said that "cancer changes so much of you."

From physical challenges to psychological issues, the mother of three opened up about her tough phase of life to make other patients feel heard and seen.
