King Charles brings surprising change in demeanour as big family drama unfolds

King Charles is currently embroiled in more than one kind of family drama on top of his responsibility as a monarch. Given that he is also undergoing treatment for cancer, it wouldn’t be incorrect to believe that the King is under immense pressure.

However, that is not what may be happening behind the scenes as an expert shared insight on the latest engagements that Charles has taken on.

Earlier this week, Charles was in Cairngorms in Scotland to meet volunteers, firefighters and community leaders to express his gratitude for their response to this summer’s devastating Glenmore and Abernethy wildfires.

During the engagement, Charles showed a surprising change, looking much more at ease, according to body language expert Darren Stanton.

The expert said that what stood out was that Charles had a “genuine sense of peace about him” wgen he was out in the nature which seems to be his “happy place”.

“His posture is very relaxed, with his shoulders down and no obvious signs of tension or stress,” the expert explained to Cheat Sheet. “His breathing appears slower and more controlled, and when he’s interacting with people, his movements are calm and unhurried.”

He continued, “There’s no sense that he feels out of his depth or uncomfortable in the environment. He looks like someone who is genuinely enjoying himself and feels very much at home.”

There were “genuine smiles” and this is an important indicator. Although, what was missing was the “self-reassuring gestures” often seen in the past. There wasn’t any fidgeting, playing with cufflinks or anything like that showing that he needed to self-regulate.

It was a sign that he “doesn’t feel the need to perform or justify himself anymore”, one of the biggest changes that have been observed in the king.

The remarks comes during a particularly tense time as Prince Harry returned to the UK with Meghan and the children.
