Archie, Lilibet to face consequence of King Charles ‘difficult' step

King Charles appears to be in a predicament over his next course of action as the new PR crisis at the hands of the Sussexes and now his former-brother-in-law shows no sign of abating.

Moreover, the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor saga still lurks in the background as police investigation continues in the Epstein and the harrowing allegations against the ex-prince.

The monarch is expected to keep a level-head and avoid a knee-jerk reaction to any of the situation that arises, as that could lead to much bigger problems, according to royal historian Andrew Lownie.

King Charles, who is understood to be a doting grandfather to Archie and Lilibet, walks a fine line between the Harry, Meghan matter and the one that is unfolding in public with Charles Spencer.

“Charles is conscious of ensuring that Harry and Meghan are not outcast from the Royal Family in the same manner – especially given that the Duke and Duchess are now said to be fostering a relationship with the monarch,” Lownie told Daily Mail.

He explained that the Sussexes have put the Royal Family in a “difficult position” and if the royals appear “too unwelcoming” drawing comparisons to the treatment of Duke of Windsor.

However, if Charles appears to “too conciliatory” then he also risks being “perceived as giving in to the Sussexes”.

However, in all of this situation, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are likely to face the brunt of the aftermath. Charles is a monarch but also a grandfather, who wanted to get close to the children.

If the situation gets worse between royals and the Sussexes, Archie and Lilibet will once again be deprived of the relationships and opportunities they could have had.
