Arnold Schwarzenegger announces new book, 'Better Every Day'

Arnold Schwarzenegger is heading back into self-help territory.

The businessman and actor, 79, will publish Better Every Day: An Action Plan for a Full Life next year, publisher Penguin Press announced September 21.

Schwarzenegger first shared the news with members of his Pump Club newsletter.

According to a statement shared with PEOPLE, the book is designed as a practical guide for readers looking to grow and find purpose, drawing on Schwarzenegger's own life experiences and organized around 12 building blocks meant to help readers achieve self-improvement.

The synopsis reads: "Arnold Schwarzenegger has surpassed every goal he has set for himself in his epic journey through the highest realms of sports, entertainment, politics and philanthropy. Now the goal is to help people achieve a growth mindset, bring them back into balance and help them to flourish."

Better Every Day serves as a follow-up to Schwarzenegger's 2023 bestseller Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life

The publisher describes the new book as a more hands-on companion to that earlier work.

"If Be Useful was the Arnold philosophy textbook, Better Every Day is the Arnold workbook."

The statement adds that Schwarzenegger's goal with the new release is to help readers "achieve a growth mindset, restore their sense of balance and flourish with specific weekly actions," continuing, "Arnold shares what he has learned throughout his life about the path of continual improvement so that everyone can be Better Every Day."

Beyond his self-help titles, Schwarzenegger has also written his 2012 memoir, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story

Better Every Day: An Action Plan for a Full Life is set for release on January 12, 2027, and is now available for preorder.
