Taylor Swift gives sweet shout out to husband Travis Kelce with 'Cleveland'

Taylor Swift is showering love with her extended TLOAS: The Encore.

The pop icon, 36, is reliving her best memories with husband Travis Kelce – and the city where the NFL star grew up.

The pop superstar, 36, released Cleveland! on September 25, as one of four new tracks on The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore. The song’s title is a clear nod to Kelce’s Ohio roots.

He was born and raised in Cleveland Heights alongside his older brother, Jason Kelce.

Swift references her husband’s hometown in the song, singing, “He already took me to Cleveland, and showed me The Heights / so hate all you like, this is the love of my life.”

She also connects Cleveland to their July 3, 2026, wedding at Madison Square Garden. In a later version of the chorus, Swift sings, “He already took me to Cleveland, now I’m wearing white / So hate all you like, this is the love of my life.”

The track also addresses the intense public scrutiny Swift has faced throughout her career. 

She pokes fun at critics before turning the focus toward her relationship with Kelce, singing, “The taste of me is acquired, but it’s his favorite dish / He says I look like an angel, they say, ‘I hate that bitch’.”

The song’s bridge delivers an especially personal declaration: “You only need to find one person in this entire world who doesn’t find you completely insufferable, and I have an important announcement to make, I found mine.”

Kelce has remained closely connected to Cleveland, including through his minority ownership stake in the Cleveland Guardians. The Cavaliers also celebrated the song, sharing a clip of Swift and Kelce courtside at Rocket Arena.

Along with Cleveland!, The Encore features Patient Zero, Pink Clouding and Babylon. Swift said the expanded release was created out of “pure gratitude” for fans’ response to the original album.
