Rick Ross arrested days after ex-girlfriend's abuse allegations

Rick Ross has been arrested days after his ex-girlfriend Jazzma Kendrick accused him of assaulting her.

According to The Guardian, the rapper was arrested in Miami beach on domestic battery and strangulation charges and booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 6:10 a.m. local time on Thursday, October 1. His bond is set at $6,000.

Authorities have not disclosed details of the alleged incident or identified the alleged victim.

The arrest comes days after Kendrick revealed they had broken up and accused him of physical abuse, per People magazine. Kendrick shared images of a swollen lip that she attributed to the rapper on social media.

“He saw a punching bag,” she wrote on an Instagram Story, alongside pictures she said showed the alleged injuries. Another post featured the caption: “The day Rick busted my lip and the day I left.”

Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts, has retained attorney Bradley Horenstein. Court records list his arraignment for October 22.
