The SC was informed during hajj corruption case hearing that an officer is being appointed to initiate the disciplinary action against former IG Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Hussain Asghar.
Hussain Asghar was transferred as IG GB after he made remarkable progress in the scam probe when posted in Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The SC had directed to send him back to the investigation agency but despite several directions, Hussain did not turned up.

Joint Secretary Establishment Division told the court that Hussain has violated the orders and a summary to proceed against him was forwarded to the prime minister on June 27.
