Gambat incident accused policemen sent to jail

KHAIRPUR: All accused policemen who were involved in the forced naked parade of a man and woman in Gambad have been sent to jail on 14 days remand.

Khairpur SSP, Irfan Baloch said that the absconding accused in the case ASI Amir Ali Shar and ASI Ghulam Akbar were arrested today, while the other four accused including the SHO Khair Mohammad Sameejo were already under arrest.

All the accused were presented in the Gambat Civil Judge court, who ordered sending the accused to jail on 14 days physical remand.

Gambat police on July 27 had raided a house at Meer Bahar Mohalla on a tip-off that a vice den was being run and had rounded up a man and a woman from the house and forced them to parade naked up to the police station.
