PESHAWAR: Alllama Sajid Naqvi, a leader of the newly revived Muttahida Majlis Amal (MMA) said on Sunday that efforts were being made to woo the Jamat-e-Islami to join the MMA, Geo News reported.
Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, he said that the JI had been part of the MMA and efforts would be made to bring them back, addressing their reservations.
The cleric said that work on putting in end to capital punishment and converting it into life imprisonment in Pakistan was underway which was in conflict with the Constitution of the country. He vowed to block any such move.
