Pak can play vital role in Afghan reconciliation process: US

ISLAMABAD: US Deputy Chief of Mission Richard Hoagland Thursday hailing the Pakistan’s decision to set free several Afghan Taliban prisoners said that Pakistan can play a vital role in Afghanistan reconciliation process.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Hoagland said that the US had already asked Afghan government to pursue reconciliation process.

He stressed upon the release of those groups who abide by the law of Afghan government.

The groups who will lay their arms for safeguarding human rights can become the part of reconciliation process, he added.
