Govt bans parking of bikes near Imambargahs

KARACHI: Sindh government on Monday issued a notification putting a ban on riding/parking of a motorcycle within a half kilometer of an Imambargah and parking of a car within the radius of one km across Karachi.

The Sindh Home Department issued the above notification on the directive of the Federal Government in response to a proposal put forth by Sindh Police.

According to the notification, the restriction will not apply to the residents of the area, journalists, elderly people and law enforcement personnel.
