QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has said that the decisions on Kala Bagh Dam and other major issues without evolving national consensus are unacceptable as they will undermine national solidarity, Geo News reported.
He suggested that an all parties conference should be convened to discuss all the controversial issues including Kala Bagh Dam and its recommendations should be brought in the National Assembly for debate.
The chief minister also suggested that the issue of Kala Bagh Dam should be presented in the Council of Common Interests and could be debated in the provincial assemblies if the need arose.
“Even if anyone considers the proposed dam vital for nation, consensus should be hammered out among federating units” he added.
He said that no project could be more important than national unity.
