Former KPK IG Abbas Khan likely to become caretaker CM

PESHAWAR: The government and the opposition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have hammered out consensus on the name of caretaker chief minister, Geo News reported on Thursday.

Sources said that former IG police Abbas Khan was likely to be made caretaker chief minister and KPK Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and Opposition Leader Akram Khan Durrani were expected to make announcement in this regard on Friday during a media briefing in Islamabad’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.

The consensus came following a series of negotiation rounds between the government and the opposition.
