Munnawar Hasan urges people to vote out corrupt politicians
KARACHI: Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Syed Munawar Hasan, Sunday said the ballot was the safest route to change and the people should use their right to vote with great caution, Geo News reported.

“Proper use of vote is the only way to safeguard our sovereignty and national honor, thus they should vote out the corrupt leaders”, said he addressing the participants of “Umeed-e-Pakistan Youth Convention” here.

He said the corrupt politicians were changing political parties only perpetuate their plunder, however, the nation would reject those turncoats.

“There is a dire need to call a spade a spade now and boldly unveil the dishonest politicians and their corruption”, said he.

He said JI believed in the politics of principles and had always had an immaculate record as far as corruption was concerned.

“JI had been conducting its internal elections regularly for the last 60 years and no one ever dared to point finger at the honesty and integrity of its cadres. He said it is high time that other religious and patriotic forces support the JI in the coming general elections.

The journey of change was unstoppable and the old oppression-based political system of Pakistan is breathing its last, said he.

He said the Pakistani youth should play a key role in bringing about a revolutionary change in the country and drive the last nail in the coffin of this obsolete political system.

JI Ameer vowed Jammat-e-Islami would touch the hearts of Pakistan masses this time.

Syed Munawar said the covert forces were still patronizing the terrorists who had made Sindh, particularly Karachi a living hell.

“Terrorists are still holding the city of lights hostages, we have to liberate the economic hub of Pakistan”, said he.

JI leader further said he would not buy the idea that Muttahida Qaumi Movement was a political party.

“Who knows it better than us? JI has collected the bodies of its workers from the city roads. It's a pity that the decisions of the Supreme Court about Karachi are not being implemented in letter and spirit”, said he.

On the occasion, Shabab-e-Milli leaders Attiq-ur-Rehman, Zubair Safdar, Azeem Baloch and others spoke.

Earlier, JI naib amir Asadullah Bhutto and Karachi chapter amir Muhammad Hussain Mehanti also addressed the moot.
