According to SP Rural Shafiullah, the blast occurred when explosives in the storehouse of the police station went off, triggering fire in the area. The investigation section of the police station was completely destroyed.
No loss of life was reported in the explosion, however, four nearby houses and 15 vehicles were damaged due to the impact.
