Acting governor promulgates Sindh LG Ordinance (3rd Amend)

KARACHI: The acting governor of Sindh, Aga Siraj Durrani, has promulgated the Sindh Local Government Ordinance (3rd Amendment).

It shall come into force from September 16 said a handout issued here on Friday.

According to newly effected, ordinance the penalty for the violation of rules & regulations is disqualification for three years.

The ordinance also empowers the concerned authority to declare a rural area as an urban one if needed.

It also says that a reelection will be held within the three months of a candidate's death.
