KARACHI: Six policemen were killed while three more sustained injuries when two police vehicles came under attack of hand grenade and firing in Landhi No 6 area of the metropolis on Saturday.
According to the police, the incident took place when unidentified armed men hurled a hand grenade at a police van deployed outside Afaq Ahmed’s residence for security purpose, killing three policemen.
Police said that another incident took place minutes after the first one when the armed men opened fire at another police vehicle of Landhi police station, killing three more cops.
Police and Rangers have surrounded three streets of Landhi No.6 and launched search operation.
Sources said that Afaq Ahmed is not residing in his Landhi residence.
