Body of JSQM leader shifted to Karachi hospital for autopsy

KARACHI: Bodies of Maqsood Qureshi, a leader of Jiye Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, and his companion have been shifted to Karachi’s Jinnah Hospital for autopsy and DNA test.

Funeral prayer of the JSQM leader, whose body was found burnt in a car on Friday, will be offered on Sunday.

JSQM chairman Niaz Kalani and a large number of party activists also accompanied the body to the medical facility.

Kalani said that the party leaders were being threatened from unknown numbers to postpone 23rd March JSQM rally. But, he said the rally would be held at any cost in Karachi on March 23.

The Sindhi nationalist party observed a strike against what they said ‘murder’ of their party leader on Friday.

The deceased was a brother of former JSQM chairman Bashir Khan Qureshi.
