LAHORE: The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC), Umar Bandial has taken notice of the ruckus created by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers at a courtroom and summoned an explanation from party chairman Imran Khan.
Earlier on Tuesday, PTI chairman Imran Khan had arrived at the LHC to provide his stance in a case pertaining to checking of the election record in NA-122. Imran Khan was accompanied by a large number of party workers who started chanting slogans outside the courtroom. The PTI workers tried to force their way into the courtroom which led to the door and flowerpots being broken.
Additional police were summoned to control the situation. The LHC Chief Justice Umar Bandial expressing his strong annoyance over the incident remarked that such an environment was contrary to the dignity of the court, which would not be tolerated and thereafter in utter disgust left the courtroom.
