ISLAMABAD: The government has appointed Lt. Gen. (retd) Alam Khattak as new secretary defence.
The ministry of defence in a notification issued here said that Khattak replaces Lt. Gen. Asif Yasin whose contract for the office expired.
Alam Khattak has previously served on key positions in the military including corps commander Quetta, Inspector General Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and chief of logistics at the GHQ.
