FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan Monday announced countrywide day mourning for tomorrow, saying funeral prayer in absentia will be performed for the PTI worker shot dead in today's protest.

Addressing his party workers from atop his vehicle, Imran Khan said the sacrifice rendered by the deceased party worker, Haq Nawaz, would not go in vain.

He said the people of Faisalabad also closed down their city and offered a sacrifice. “As long as I have strength I will continue to wage struggle for liberating the country from the clutches of oppressors,” he vowed.

Imran Khan accused Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of always indulging in the politics of tyranny. “Nawaz Sharif unleashed oppression on the people with the help of police and ‘Gullu Butts’.”

He said he would also go to Karachi but before that he was anxiously waiting for going to Lahore.

He alleged that the hooligans of Rana Sanaullah and Abid Sher Ali attacked his party workers in Faisalabad today.

He regretted that bullets were fired in Model Town and Gujranwala but no one was apprehended.

“We will never bow our heads before oppressions,” he said, adding, ‘justice is what we want and justice we will get’.

Imran Khan said the Mian Sahab did not want to constitute a judicial commission and dispense justice.
