US Senator McCain calls Asif Zardari

US Senator John Mc Cain telephoned former President Asif Ali Zardari and exchanged ideas over peace and stability in the sub-continent.

Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Zardari told the US Senator that India was spreading propaganda against Pakistan. “India wants to hide its atrocities over innocent Kashmiris by this propaganda,” he said.

He added that Pakistan wanted to solve the Kashmir issue through dialogue.

The US Senator appreciated Pakistan’s role in fighting terrorism. He lauded the sacrifices of Pakistanis for the War on Terror.

Zardari said that Pakistan had never supported terrorism, on the other hand it has always been victim to terrorism.

Mc Cain is a senior senator in the United States. He was the Republican presidential nominee in the 2008 election
