LONDON: Pakistan's former prime minister Shaukat Aziz has said that Pakistan's vibrant and rich cultural image is the best ambassador of Pakistan.

He was speaking to Geo News here at the 'Pakistan Fashion Parade', which drew leading celebrities who gathered to watch the collection of prominent Pakistani fashion designers.

This year, the event was held to celebrate 70 years of Pakistan's style evolution at London's historic former church, One Marylebone. Celebrities such as Gurinder Chadha, Neev Spencer, and Lizzie Cundy, joined dignitaries Shaukat Aziz, Pakistan's High Commissioner to the UK Syed Ibn-e-Abas, and top-notch designers, including Nilofer Shahid, Nomi Ansari, Tena Durrani, Shamaeel Ansari, Maria B, Faiza Samee, Saira Rizwan, Rani Emaan, Seher Tareen, and Sherzad Rahimtoola.

Shaukat Aziz commented that he was delighted to see the amazing collection on display by Pakistani designers, who have worked hard to promote Pakistan's soft image at the global stage.

Sadia Siddiqui, the event's organiser, said: “It is an honour and privilege for me to showcase South Asia's leading and emerging designers through Fashion Parade. We aimed to get Pakistani fashion recognised and appreciated on an international level.”
