ABBOTTABAD: A farmer killed a child over a territorial issue here Wednesday night by tying him to a donkey, which dragged him around the fields, leading to his death, Geo News reported.

“Why did your donkey trespass into my fields?” Miskeen – the accused – had allegedly asked the eight-year-old child before binding him to the animal with a rope, police officials said, adding that his death was caused by getting hauled around the farm.

The incident took place in the jurisdiction of the Lora Police Station.

Miskeen, the accused, has been taken into custody by police and a case has subsequently been registered against him, Abbottabad District Police Officer Ashfaq Anwar informed.

The prime suspect was also presented before a local court on Thursday and was handed over to police for a two-demand remand.
