The highly-anticipated clash between Pakistan and India is hours away and excitement as well as tension is high among fans.

The two neighbours face each other in the Asia Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium today (Wednesday) at 4:30pm Pakistan Standard Time.

Fans unable to contain their excitement have already started taking to social media and actors Ahsan Khan and Meera are no different.

Ahsan Khan in a video message said, "Undoubtedly, the Pakistan cricket team is one of the best."

"The entire nation, including overseas Pakistanis, is praying for you and waiting for you to win," the Udaari actor added.

Meera also shared a video message for the team and said she is praying for their victory.

The actor especially mentioned national team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and Muhammad Amir and sent her “best wishes to all Pakistani players.”

Punjabi folk singer Arif Lohar also extended well wishes to the team. "We are praying for you and hope that you will make the country proud," he said.

Earlier today, Indian tennis ace and cricketer Shoaib Malik's wife, Sania Mirza, also took to Twitter but said she was signing out of social media for a few days following the match.

"So less than 24 hours to go for this match, safe to sign out of social media for a few days since the amount of nonsense that's going to be said here can make a ‘regular’ person sick, let alone a pregnant one. Later guys! Knock yourselves out! but remember - it's only a cricket match," she said.
