CTD recommends ban on 11 organizations linked to outlawed organizations

ISLAMABAD: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday recommended a ban on 11 organizations linked to outlawed organizations, sources informed Geo News.

The final decision to outlaw these organisations will be taken by Interior Minister Brigadier (retd) Ijaz Shah.

According to sources, CTD Lahore and CTD Karachi observed organizations, following which it was recommended to ban 11 organizations. It was also recommended to place two organizations under observation in Karachi.

Under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, the decision to ban and place organizations under observation is taken by the Ministry of Interior.

The recommendations have been sent to the Ministry of Interior and a decision is expected in the next 2-3 days.
