KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday ordered the immediate resumption of traffic in Pakistan's southern port city following two days of rainfall and flooding of roads.

The Sindh CM's media spokesperson said Shah took notice of the distressing traffic blockages earlier in the day and, therefore, issued the directives to the city's traffic police.

Shah further advised the district police to help the traffic police in resuming the traffic in Karachi, the spokesperson added.

Separately, the Sindh CM also announced that all government and private schools would remain functional tomorrow (Tuesday) as per the Sindh government's decision, the spokesperson added.

The decision to have all government and private schools remain functional was taken by Shah.
