Rain lashes Lahore

LAHORE: People living in posh areas in the city had a wonderful and happy time as it received heavy rain here on Saturday morning.

Wile the citizens living in low-lying areas suffered as water had accumulated knee-deep on the roads and streets and hundreds of houses are also submerged in overflowing rain mixed gutter water. Besides, traffic jam was also witnessed on several roads after the rain.

The new spell of monsoon rains has begun in Lahore and other cities of Punjab which is expected to last for the next three days. This was the third biggest downpour in the city in this monsoon season.
