Cher, Mary J. Blige among esteemed 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame picks

The Rock & Roll of Fame has announced its 2024 inductees, who are set to be honoured at 39th annual induction ceremony.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, this year's class includes music legends including Cher, Mary J. Blige, Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, Frampton, and Kool & the Gang.

The announcement about the event, scheduled for October 19, 2024, was made during a segment on American Idol.

This year's induction ceremony marks a significant first for several artists including, Cher, Foreigner, Frampton, and Kool & the Gang.

However, Ozzy Osbourne, who have previously been inducted as a member of Black Sabbath will now receive the honor as a solo artist.

The ceremony will also recognize Jimmy Buffett, Dionne Warwick, Norman Whitfield, and MC5 with the Musical Excellence Award, celebrating their outstanding contributions to music.

Moreover, the Ahmet Ertegun Award will be presented to Suzanne de Passe for her influential work in the industry.
