King Charles has long been a fan of British meat; however, he has recently cut down on his intake after a cancer diagnosis.
But his mood still brightened up at the thought of lamb and beef.
How so?
Morrisons, a supermarket chain in the U.K., has continued to operate its butchery counters in its stores despite other marts closing them reportedly due to cost-cutting.
At this, the monarch expressed relief as he told the chain store's workers that he was "so glad" that the meat counters were still up and running.
According to Daily Mail, his remarks came at a meeting with Disasters Emergency Committee's aid volunteers at St Peter's Church in Notting Hill.
"I’m so glad that Morrisons still have a butchery counter, no-one else does," Charles gushed.
Like his husband, Queen Camilla also lessened her diet's beef, lamb and pork intake, her son Tom Parker Bowles revealed.
"Yes, I eat meat, but I go easy on the red meat – as does my mother," he said.
"And the King, after what he's been through recently, is looking again at what, and when, he eats," the food writer told Saga Magazine.
"I'm no nutritionist, but I know that food is part of a body's 'medicine'. It knows when it's having the right stuff," Tom concluded.
