Cynthia Erivo gets honest about her dream role

Cynthia Erivo, who starred in the breakout hit Wicked, said her dream role is to play the mutant heroine Storm.

In an interview with NBR, the host asked the on-screen Elphaba about “another dream role you want to manifest, right here, right now?”

“I really want to play Storm,” the actress replied. "I know it sounds frivolous."

"But I think we haven’t uncovered how grand she is and all of that inner turmoil that she has. So I think that there’ might be a world in which we could, you know, do something like that," the 38-year-old added.

Previously, Halle Berry, who played Storm, opened up about why she did not appear in Deadpool & Wolverine, which hosted several past mutant heroes.

“Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband [Ryan Reynolds’] movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yeah, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me," she told Comic Book.
