Kendrick Lamar collaborator, Mustard still may have not gotten to his name being screamed out loud.

In his exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, he recalled being left dazed at Walmart when he heard someone yell his name out loud at the checkout.

It most probably was not the first time and certainly will not be the last, but three girls present there somewhere behind him had screamed Lamar’ popularized line from the latest surprise album, GNX, that goes, "MUSTAAAAAARRRDDDDDD!"

The veteran West Coat producer whose real name is Dijon McFarlane and is up for some of the biggest Grammy Awards at the 67th ceremony, admitted to the outlet that the Not Like Us hitmaker’s album has definitely prompted more to yell out his name.

"It kind of caught me off-guard, so I'm looking, 'What the f***?' But I had to remember, 'Oh s***,'" he stated as he recalled his encounter at Walmart.

He continued, "I hear it randomly if I go to the mall. I went to the mall for Christmas shopping and the guy was just like 'MUSTAAARRRDDDD!' I haven't been nowhere yet to hear it, but I have heard it."

After the year Mustard had in music, it can be safe to assume that the music industry may just be hearing a lot more of his name as his productions are up for a handful of 2025 Grammy Awards mainly by the grace of the track, Not Like Us.

"I just feel like all this s***, I got to attribute to God," Mustard said over the nods, adding "I've won a Grammy with Ella (Boo'd Up). I've been nominated for Grammys. I've had years of runs and I would think, 'Maybe I'll get a nomination here or there.' So, for this to come right now it's just like, 'Oh, s***. OK.' It's just time, man. Everything happens for a reason."
