Rihanna’s beau A$AP Rocky recently recounted a bad audition.

In his latest chat with Variety, the musician recounted the time when he auditioned for a Star Wars movie, but his attempt translated into an utter fiasco.

During this chat, the American rapper shared that he auditioned for the part of Lando Calrissian in 2019’s movie, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

“My audition was trash. I was trashing that day. My man Childish Gambino [Donald Glover] was a way better Lando than I would’ve provided at that time,” the boyfriend of Rihanna admitted.

He even shared that Billy Dee Williams proved to be a better choice for the role due to his appearance.

“And I think he looked a little more like [Billy Dee Williams] than me,” the music artists, originally named Rakim Athelaston Mayers, asserted before moving to a new topic.

Nonetheless, the 36-year-old is all set to feature in an upcoming film titled Highest 2 Lowest directed by Spike Lee despite his former audition fail.

It is pertinent to mention here that this interview comes on the heels of his and Rihanna’s third pregnancy reveal at the 2025 Met Gala which left fans shocked. The pair is already parents to two sons, namely, RZA and Riot Rose.
