Buckingham Palace: Kate Middleton makes comeback to royal event with William

Prince William and Kate Middleton on Tuesday attended  their first garden party of the year.

According to people.com, the Prince and Princess of Wales were on hosting duty at Buckingham Palace.

The publication reported that their attendance represented "something of a comeback for the princess, who last attended the seasonal event in 2023." 

Her husband, William, was joined by  other royal family members as his wife underwent cancer treatment last year.

The report said that the future king and queen circulated among the thousands of guests on the lawns of the palace.. 

According to the report, William wore a suit and top hat, while Kate Middleton popped in a yellow dress by Emilia Wickstead and a hat by Philip Treacy. 

Buckingham Palace's garden parties bring together thousands of guests from various backgrounds, acknowledging their public service and contributions.

Traditionally, guests arrive at the palace around 3 pm and mingle in the beautiful gardens.

Members of the royal family enter the garden at 4 PM, and the National Anthem is played by one of the two military bands present.

The garden parties take place in the stunning Buckingham Palace Garden, a 17-hectare private park attached to the palace, featuring a large lake, a tennis court, and over 1,000 trees.
