Zach Braff is reportedly set to reprise his iconic role as JD in a highly anticipated reboot of the beloved TV medical comedy, Scrubs.
As per the latest report of Film News, Braff is currently the only cast member officially confirmed to be attached to the reboot.
Howeever, it is expected that other original stars like Donald Faison, who played Turk, Sarah Chalke, who played Elliot, John C. McGinley, who played Dr. Cox, and Judy Reyes, who played Carla, will be also approached for deals.
The news marks a significant step forward for the revival, which was first reported to be in early development in December 2024.
In a previous chat with Variety, he expressed his enthusiasm to join a new Scrubs series by saying, "The idea of getting back together with my friends and doing like 10 or 12 episodes of maybe one or two seasons, and just laughing with everyone?”
“That sounds like a dream," he remarked.
Original series creator Bill Lawrence will reportedly serve as executive producer for the new iteration.
