MGK reveals why he skipped 2025 AMAs despite walking red carpet

Machine Gun Kelly has skipped the 2025 American Music Awards for a personal reason.

The 35-year-old rapper had to leave the awards ceremony early to take care of his 2-month-old baby girl, whom he shares with ex Megan Fox.

"She has a little bit of a fever," MGK told E! News on the show's red carpet. "So I'm gonna just walk the carpet and go back, you know what I mean, and handle my business. Give her my pheromones, and let her heal up."

"I was born to be a dad. Yeah, it's my purpose,” added the rapper, whose real name Colson Baker.

On Monday night, MGK hit the red carpet in black trousers and a vest worn over a white button-down.

For those unversed, the Bad Things hitmaker welcomed his first daughter with Megan on March 27, 2025.
