James Gunn recently made a rare comment about four prominent DCU superheroes.
In a new chat with Entertainment Weekly, James Gunn went on to claim that Superman, Batman, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman are pivotal characters to the franchise.
"I think that's accurate, actually," he said referring Zaslav's comments stating the significance of the iconic DCU characters.
"I think that he got that from something I said. I wouldn't say only those four characters, but I would say that those four characters are incredibly important to us. Right now, I feel great about where two of those characters are, and then we're dealing with the other two," he concluded.
Elsewhere in the chat, James Gunn excited fans by confirming that the script of the third installment of Wonder Woman is in development.
"We're working on Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman's being written right now."
For those unversed, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 3 was cancelled in 2022.
At that time, the movie’s director Patty Jenkins, commented "I was open to considering anything asked of me."
It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at this time. DC is obviously buried in changes they are having to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now," he clarified then.
